WHY GIVE TO HSC?
Since 1944, the Human Services Council, a regional community planning agency, has promoted the well-being of its citizens through social service coordination, program sponsorship, education and training. The Human Services Council is a dynamic, flexible organization, alert to changing community needs. Never static, it is prepared to tackle new issues as they arise.
WE NEED YOUR HELP. We urge you to make a contribution on behalf of the thousands of clients who benefit from the programs of the Human Services Council. Please keep these thoughts in mind - while economic hardships are facing each and everyone of us your contribution will make a difference - no matter how big or how small - a life will be changed because of YOU.
Your generous donation will help us provide the following to our clients.
- Flu shot for an uninsured student at the School Based Health Centers
- Background checks for mentors in the Norwalk Public Schools Mentoring Program
- Necessary school supplies for disadvantaged students on the DCF case roll
- Duffle bag for emergency placement for a child removed from an abusive home
- Mental health visit for an uninsured student enrolled in the School Based Health Centers
- School/ Sports Physicals for an uninsured student enrolled in the School Based Health Centers
- Forensic Interview for a child physical and/or sexual abuse case
- Holiday gifts for children in DCF Foster Care and Group Homes
- Books for the School Based Health Centers Girls Book Club
Please remember that 90 cents of every dollar raised by the Human Services Council goes support direct programming. It is because of your generosity that we are able to continue providing high quality care to the thousands of men, women and children served by our organization each year.
